SOHBATPUR, Jul 12 (APP):Eight bakers in Dalbandin were jailed for three days on Friday after they were caught selling underweight bread.
According to AC Office, The action was taken by Assistant Commissioner Dalbandin, Abdul Basit Buzdar who visited the local market with Major Risaldar Tahir Khan Zarkun.
Buzdar warned that selling underweight bread will not be tolerated.
He said that bakers had been repeatedly warned to maintain the correct weight of bread during meetings with local shopkeepers.
“We will continue to monitor the markets to ensure fair prices and quality for the public,” Buzdar said. “We will take strict action against anyone who tries to cheat customers or who violates cleanliness standards.”
