73.8pc pass BISE Sargodha matriculation exams

SARGODHA, Jul 24 (APP):The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Sargodha officially announced the results of the Matriculation Annual Examinations 2025, here on Thursday.
According to a press release, issued by the Board, this year, overall pass percentage stood at 73.81pc, out of 93,582 students, who appeared for the exams, 69,072 were declared successful. Government school students performed notably better with a success rate of 75.65pc, compared to 58.11pc among private school candidates.
 Among districts, Sargodha led with a success rate of 74.93pc, followed by Bhakkar at 74.78pc, Khushab at 73.35pc, and Mianwali at 70.79pc.
To mark the occasion, a grand ceremony was held at the BISE Sargodha office, presided over by Commissioner and Chairman BISE Sargodha Jahanzaib Awan.
Guests included Members of National Assembly Malik Shakir Bashir Awan and Irum Hamid of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz, along with former MNA Hamid Hameed besides Assistant Commissioner Shireen Gul, Board Secretary Abu Al Hassan Naqvi, Controller Examinations Riaz Qadeer Bhatti, CEO Education Kulsoom Mansha, teachers, parents, and a large number of students.
The commissioner congratulated the successful students, their parents, and teachers, commending their hard work, determination, and dedication. He stated that true success lies in thinking beyond oneself and contributing to betterment of society. He announced that a special event would soon be organised by the Punjab chief minister to honour the position holders, where they would be awarded a guard of honour and special prizes.
MNA Irum Hamid Hameed termed the results a historic achievement and expressed hope that students would continue to shine in practical life.
PML-N MNA Malik Shakir Bashir Awan appreciated the outstanding performance of female students, who secured an 83pc success rate, noting that they are excelling in every field. He highlighted that the current Punjab government prioritises education and has allocated special rewards and scholarships for top-performing students.
Former MNA Hamid Hamid conveyed Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s special congratulations to the position holders. He praised students for bringing pride to the Sargodha division and called them the bright future of Pakistan.
During the ceremony, the first position holders were awarded laptops, gold medals, and cash prizes, second position holders received silver medals and cash rewards, and third position holders were honoured with bronze medals and prizes.
Board Secretary Abu Al Hassan Naqvi expressed gratitude to the distinguished guests and attendees, while Controller of Examinations Riaz Qadeer Bhatti presented a detailed overview of the results.
