7,000 citizens provided relief through RPO open courts in 2025

FAISALABAD, Nov 06 (APP):Regional Police Officer (RPO) Faisalabad Zeeshan Asghar has addressed and resolved grievances of more than 7,000 citizens during open courts held across Faisalabad Region this year.
Police spokesman Rizwan Bhatti said that the open courts were organized across the region in line with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Maryam Nawaz for strengthening public trust and ensuring speedy redressal of citizens’ complaints.
More than 7000 people actively participated in these sessions and presented their issues directly before the RPO who issued immediate orders for resolution of the same on merit, he added.
He said that the RPO also introduced several public welfare initiatives to bring policing closer to the citizens. Among these, the launch of a Mobile Police Station Service is a landmark step to provide police facilities at doorsteps of the people, particularly benefiting residents of remote and under-served areas, he added.
He said that RPO Zeeshan Asghar has taken multiple measures to enhance departmental discipline, professional efficiency and transparency through merit-based decision-making.
During current year, 1,471 appeals were submitted by police officers and officials, which were decided fairly, he added.
He highlighted the welfare of police martyrs’ families and said that 97 families of police martyrs were provided with various welfare facilities this year.
In long-term support, Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) were signed with 54 renowned government and private hospitals and educational institutions to ensure free medical treatment, quality education and special facilities for the families of police martyrs, he added.
He said that Faisalabad Region Police under the leadership of RPO Zeeshan Asghar is translating the provincial vision of people-centered policing into reality by combining community engagement, transparency and welfare-oriented measures. These steps are not only addressing citizens’ grievances effectively but also promoting a culture of trust, empathy and professionalism across the police force, he added.
