RAWALPINDI, Mar 02 (APP): A seven-year-old girl was killed when a tractor trolley ran over her on IJP Road in the British Homes area on Monday afternoon.
According to Rescue 1122 officials, the child, identified as Khushboo, was crossing the road when she was struck by the tractor trolley. Rescue teams arrived promptly and, after legal formalities, transferred her body to the District Headquarters Hospital.
Eyewitnesses said the tractor trolley was moving at high speed and the driver lost control of the vehicle. The incident caused widespread grief and anger in the area, with residents expressing concern over the carelessness of heavy vehicle drivers on the road.
Police reached the scene and impounded the tractor trolley. Proceedings have been initiated to register a case against the driver. A police spokesman said a thorough investigation into the incident is under way, while citizens urged strict enforcement of traffic laws on IJP Road to prevent similar tragedies.
