LAHORE, Jul 24 (APP):At least seven people were killed and 1,172 others injured in 1,116 road accidents in Punjab during the last 24 hours.
As many as 530 people with serious injuries were shifted to different hospitals, while 642 with minor injuries were treated at the incident site by the rescue medical teams.
The data analysis showed that 680 drivers, 40 underage drivers, 145 pedestrians, and 354 passengers were among the victims of road crashes. The statistics showed that 231 accidents were reported in Lahore, which affected 246 people, placing the provincial capital at top of the list, followed by Faisalabad with 80 accidents and 78 victims, and at third Multan with 60 accidents and 54 victims.
According to the data, 1,021 motorbikes, 77 auto-rickshaws, 86 motorcars, 19 vans, 10 passenger buses, 26 truck and 97 other types of vehicles and slow-moving carts were involved in the road accidents.
