LAHORE, Aug 01 (APP):On the instructions of Punjab Food Minister Bilal Yasin, strict monitoring of flour prices is ongoing across the province.
Director Food Punjab Shoaib Jadoon visited various districts of Multan Division. He reviewed the availability of flour in the general market and checked prices.
Across the province, prices of 10 and 20 kg bags of 683 flour brands were checked. In Lahore Division, 113, Rawalpindi 164, and Gujarat 49 different flour brands’ prices were checked. In Gujranwala Division, 50, Faisalabad 69 and Sargodha 32 flour brands’ prices were also monitored. In Multan Division, 76, Sahiwal 31, DG Khan 34, and Bahawalpur 65 flour brands’ prices were checked.
Punjab Food Minister Bilal Yasin said that this month, 5,126 trucks were used to transport wheat and flour across the province. Flour is being sold at fixed prices in all districts. There is an adequate supply of flour in the general market, he added.
