PESHAWAR, Jul 14 (APP):At least six people lost their lives and a child was injured in separate incidents caused by heavy rains and lightning strikes across various districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the last 24 hours.
According to a report issued by the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) on Monday, the incidents occurred in the districts of Bajaur, Kohat, Malakand, and Khyber.
Among the deceased are one man, one woman, and four children. Additionally, three houses sustained partial damage due to the severe weather.
PDMA has directed the respective district administrations to provide immediate relief to the affected families and ensure the best possible medical care for the injured.
The authority also warned that the current spell of monsoon rains is expected to continue until 17 July, urging residents to remain cautious during this period.
