LAHORE, Dec 15 (APP): As many as 48 Sahulat bazaars have become completely functional across the Punjab as per the direction of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.
A spokesman for the Price Control Commodities Management department said here on Monday that ‘Sahulat bazaars’ had been established in all the divisions of Punjab including Lahore.
In these bazaars all essential commodities were available at one place and the quality and prices of these items were being monitored regularly, he added.
He further said that 10 Sahulat bazaars were functional in Lahore, 3 in Kasur, 2 in Sheikhupura, 3 in Gujranwala, 4 in Gujrat, 6 in Faisalabad, 2 in Rawalpindi, 6 in Sargodha, 3 in Sahiwal, 3 in Multan, 1 in Bahawalpur and 5 in DG Khan.
Spokesman said that allocation of stalls and shops in these bazaars had been carried out transparently through an auction process.
He said that all basic facilities, besides ample parking, had been provided in these bazaars to facilitate the consumers visiting these bazaars.
