444 candidates appear in SAU postgraduate entry test

HYDERABAD, Jul 10 (APP):The Sindh Agriculture University (SAU) Tandojam conducted entry tests for admission to its postgraduate degree programs, with a total of 444 candidates appearing.
The tests were organized across all faculties of the University for various master’s and PhD programs.
According to the university spokesperson, 413 candidates applied for master’s degree programs, while 31 candidates sat for the PhD entry test. Faculty of Social Sciences received 91 master’s and 7 PhD candidates, Faculty of Crop Protection 52 master’s and 8 PhD candidates, Faculty of Crop Production 157 master’s and 8 PhD candidates, Faculty of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Sciences 94 MPhil and 8 PhD candidates and Faculty of Agricultural Engineering and Technology had 19 master’s (ME) candidates.
On this occasion, SAU Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Altaf Ali Siyal visited the test centers established in each faculty to review the arrangements. He interacted with candidates and university staff, and expressed satisfaction over the smooth, transparent and secure conduct of the tests.
Speaking to the media, Dr. Siyal emphasized that all academic programs at SAU were designed in line with the current needs of national and global markets. He noted that the university’s graduates were making valuable contributions to agricultural development, food security, climate change adaptation and value-added agricultural enterprises.
Deans of various faculties and Director of Advanced Studies Prof. Dr. Abdul Mubeen Lodhi accompanied the Vice Chancellor during his visit.
