41st batch of Friends of Police internship programme concludes in Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI, Jan 30 (APP):The 41st batch of the Friends of Police internship programme concluded at the Rawalpindi Police Lines Headquarters on Friday.
Male and female students from various educational institutions participated in the two-week programme, during which senior police officers delivered lectures on police working and different aspects of policing.
According to a police spokesman, the interns were briefed on police station functioning, police khidmat centres, front desks, police applications, traffic police operations, and legal and judicial procedures.
As part of the programme, the students also visited Special Initiative police stations, the Police Lines Headquarters, Command and Control Room, Traffic Headquarters, Police Khidmat Centre Liaquat Bagh and the Legal Branch to gain practical exposure to policing.
The spokesman said the participants would be included in police awareness campaigns, adding that youth could play a vital role in improving police working and service delivery.
