RAWALPINDI, Jan 09 (APP):The Rawalpindi Police have arrested four members of three gangs involved in dacoity, motorcycle theft and other theft cases, and recovered eight stolen bikes, mobile phones and cash during separate operations across the district.
A police spokesman said on Friday the Ratta Amral Police arrested members of a two-man gang and recovered four snatched motorcycles along with Rs5,000 from their possession.
In another operation, the New Town Police held one suspect and recovered a stolen mobile phone as well as Rs32,000, which was obtained through the sale of stolen mobile phones.
Similarly, the Chakri Police arrested another suspect and recovered four stolen motorcycles from his possession.
Overall, the spokesman said, eight stolen and snatched motorcycles, mobile phones and Rs37,000 in cash were recovered during the operations.
Cases had been registered against the arrested suspects, who would be challaned to court with solid evidence, he added.
