PESHAWAR, Oct 22 (APP):A 4.1 magnitude earthquake jolted various districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa including Peshawar, Nowshera, Swat, Bajaur, Dir, and Mohmand on Tuesday night.
The epicenter is reported to be approximately10 kilometers from the Rani Zai area of Swat, says local metrological station here.
The earthquake struck at 11:15 p.m and its location was in border regions of Pakistan and Afghanistan. According to local residents, the tremors lasted for a few seconds; however, no reports of casualties or property damage have been received from any part of the province.
According to the Meteorological Department’s Earthquake Monitoring Cell, the depth of the earthquake was moderate, due to which its effects were limited to specific areas.
