RAWALPINDI, Sep 27 (APP):As many as 37 more dengue cases were reported in Rawalpindi during the last 24 hours, raising the tally of confirmed cases to 1,093 in the district.
District Coordinator Epidemics Prevention and Control (DCEPC), Dr Sajjad Mehmood, Wednesday said that, among the new cases, 21 cases had arrived from Potohar town urban, 11 from Municipal Corporation Rawalpindi, four from Chaklala Cantonment and one from Gujar Khan.
He said 135 patients were admitted to district hospitals of which 109 were confirmed cases while 984 were discharged after treatment.
Dr Sajjad informed that the district administration had registered 49 FIRs, issued tickets to five, sealed two premises, and a fine of Rs 49,250 was imposed against the violations of dengue SOPs during the last 24 hours.
During indoor surveillance, in the last 24 hours, the teams checked 17,664 houses and larvae were found in 1,076 homes.
Similarly, he added that while checking 6,628 places, the teams found larvae at 121 sites during outdoor surveillance.
