PESHAWAR, Oct 23 (APP):Chota Lahore Police in Swabi on Monday arrested a wanted interprovincial mobile snatcher criminal and seized 37 mobile phones recovered valued in millions of rupees.
The interprovincial offender was wanted to Punjab police for mobile snatching crimes in Faisalabad and other districts.
According to details, under the special directives of District Police Officer (DPO) Swabi, Haroon Rashid Khan, the local police launched a comprehensive operation against thieves, dacoits, kidnappers, drug dealers, and other criminals.
In this series, the Swabi police under the leadership of DPO Haroon Rashid Khan and Inspector Liaqat Shah Khan from Lahore, with a police team, successfully arrested the highly wanted suspect, Zeeshan Zafer, son of Zafer Nadeem, a resident of Jang Road, Faisalabad. The suspect had been involved in snatching valuable mobile phones from citizens and supplying them to Afghanistan.
During the investigation, the police seized 37 mobile phones of different models. These phones had been snatched from citizens in various cities, and their collective worth amounted to millions of rupees.
The suspect, while confessing to his crimes, revealed that he was supplying the stolen mobile phones to Afghanistan. Further investigations are underway against him.
