SARGODHA, Nov 05 (APP): The 35th annual urs of the great spiritual leader, Hazrat Khawaja Mian Sher Muhammad (R.A) was observed with deep faith and reverence at the revered shrine of Dargah Alia Tangowali in Sargodha district.
The urs proceedings were presided over by the custodian (Sajjada Nasheen) of the shrine, Pir Bahauddin Naqshbandi Mujaddidi. A large number of scholars (ulema), spiritual leaders (Mashaikh), religious singers (Naat Khwans), devotees (Darvesh), and faithful followers from across the country attended the event.
The spiritual gathering commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by Naat in praise of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). This was succeeded by the Khatm-e-Khawjgan, collective Darood-o-Salam, and enlightening spiritual discourses. In his address, Pir Bahaouddin Naqshbandi Mujaddidi emphasized that the teachings of the saints (Auliya-e-Kiram) call humanity towards patience, sincerity, and seeking the pleasure of Allah Almighty. He noted that their gatherings serve as profound lessons in peace, love, and brotherhood. The shrine administration ensured excellent arrangements for the thousands of attendees.
Special provisions were made for visitors, including arrangements for clean drinking water, a public feast (Langar-e-Aam), medical aid, and resting areas, alongside strict security measures. During the Urs, various Naat Khwans from around the country recited devotional poetry, while scholars and spiritual guides delivered soul-stirring sermons on the topics of Sufism, ethics, and service to humanity. The proceedings concluded with a collective prayer (Dua) for the safety, progress of the nation, and the unity of the Muslim Ummah. Following the prayer, the Langar-e-Aam was distributed among all present.
The Dargah Alia Tangowali Sharif remains a beacon of spirituality, love, and public service, drawing thousands of devotees every year during the Urs of Hazrat Khawaja Mian Sher Muhammad (R.A) to seek blessings and spiritual illumination.
