BAHAWALPUR, Jul 17 (APP):A total of 33 processions and 112 Majalis are being held in Bahawalpur district on Youm-e-Ashura of Muharram ul-Haram. According to District Police Officer Bahawalpur Asad Sarfaraz Khan, as many as 5 processions are of the category ‘A’, 5 of Category ‘B’, and 102 of Category ‘C’. Similarly, there will be one Majlis of Category ‘B’ and 32 of Category ‘C’.
More than 2100 police officers, personnel, and 1618 volunteers are deployed to ensure security for the processions and gatherings.
The District Police will be supported by the Dolphin Force, Eagle Squad, Special Branch, and Elite Force. CCTV cameras, drone cameras, jammers, sniffer dogs, walk-through gates, barbed wires, and steel barriers will be utilized to maintain fool-proof security during the Youm-e-Ashura of Muharram al-Haram.
