FAISALABAD, Nov 15 (APP): District Emergency Officer (DEO) Rescue 1122 Engineer Ehtesham Wahla stated that 316 people lost their lives in various road traffic accidents in Faisalabad during 2025. Speaking at an awareness walk, he revealed that a total of 28,983 road traffic accidents were reported in the district, affecting 34,716 people. Among these, 29,674 motorcyclists sustained multiple injuries, while 316 individuals tragically lost their lives at the scene of the accidents.
Engineer Wahla highlighted that these alarming figures serve as a stark reminder of the consequences of negligence on the roads. He emphasized that even a moment’s carelessness behind the wheel can jeopardize not only one’s own life but also the lives of others.
He urged the citizens to adopt safer driving habits, including driving at reduced speeds, staying vigilant, avoiding mobile phone use while driving, and ensuring that all motorcyclists wear helmets. He stressed that “a small precaution can save a precious life” and that taking safety measures is the key to moving society toward becoming safer and more responsible.
