FAISALABAD, Nov 26 (APP): The Agriculture Department’s team, during a raid, seized 31 bags of fake/substandard fertiliser from Jinnah Market in tehsil Samundri on Wednesday.
According to official sources, the team, supervised by Deputy Director Agriculture (Extension) Hafiz Adeel Ahmed, working on a tip, conducted a raid on a warehouse in Jinnah Market in Samundri, and seized the fertilizer. The site was sealed and samples of recovered fertilizer sent to the lab for analysis. The department team with local police is searching for the accused.
Deputy Director Hafiz Adeel Ahmed reiterated for stern legal action against the mafia involved in manufacturing and sale of fake fertilizer.
He said that supply of quality fertilizer to farmers is the first priority and appealed to the farmers to buy fertilizer only from registered dealers.
