NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, Jun 18 (APP):Three members of the same family on Thursday died and five others remained in critical condition after consuming a contaminated breakfast in Town, Mehrabpur , the police said .
According to the police, the incident occurred in Town, Mehrabpur in the district, where several members of a family fell seriously ill after eating breakfast suspected to have contained a harmful or contaminated substance.
The deceased were identified as Nihan Malik 2 years, Irshad Malik 35 years and Ehtesham Malik 25 years old, they added.
The bodies were shifted to Mehrabpur Hospital for legal formalities .
The police said five other family members, including Irfan Malik, Hanan, Saima and Usman, were in critical condition and were transferred to Gambat Hospital for emergency medical treatment.
The preliminary investigations suggest that a contaminated or unsafe food item consumed during breakfast might have caused the incident.
The police registered a case and started investigation.
