23 profiteers held, 14 shops sealed, 10 sent to jail in Quetta

QUETTA, Jan 15 (APP):District Administration conducted operation against those selling adulterated milk and substandard products in the city and arrested 23 shopkeepers and sealed 14 shops beside 10 of them sent to jail on Wednesday.
At least 145 shops and bakeries were visited, 14 shops were sealed, 23 people were arrested, 10 shopkeepers were sent to jail, 30 shopkeepers were fined and 42 shopkeepers were warned by the district administration during operation in the area.
According to the details, operations are underway against price gougers in different areas of the district city under the supervision of Quetta District Administration.
In this regard, Assistant Commissioner (Kuchlak) Bahadur Khan along with the Food Authority team conducted a joint operation against various bakeries, retail stores and tandoors in Kuchlak Bazaar.
During this, the expiry date of food items was also inspected at the shops, on which more than 1000 expired items were seized.
Different teams of the district administration visited 145 general stores, tandoors, beef and mutton shops and milk shops.
In addition, prices and quality were inspected at butchers and inspected the prices and prices of milk shops, retail stores, and tandoors.
These operations were carried out in Kuchlak Bazaar, Baleli Customs, Smanguli Road, Alamo Chowk, Nawan Killi, Gul Muhammad Killi, Toghi Road, Prince Road, Gowalmandi Chowk and Joint Road.
These operations were supervised by Assistant Commissioner Sariab Maria Shamoon, Special Magistrate Ahsamuddin Kakar, Special Magistrate Haseeb Sardar, and Special Magistrate Saifullah Kakar.
