RAWALPINDI, Sep 22 (APP): Rawalpindi police in an action against suspected drug peddlers, bootleggers, illegal weapon holders and other lawbreakers here on Friday arrested 23 accused besides recovering over 16 kg charras, 20 liters liquor, three 30 bore pistols and other items from their possession.
A police spokesperson said that City, Rattamral, Sadiqabad, Morgah, Gujar Khan, Jatli, Rawat, Kalar Syedan, Naseerabad, Race Course, Chontra, Kahuta and Wah Cantt police arrested Allah Rakha, Tahir, Faizan, Shah Nawaz, Rafique, Ali Shan, Mukhtar, Mohsin Ali, Muhammad Ashraf and others and recovered over 16 kg charras from their possession.
Similarly, Westridge, Jatli, Dhamial, Mandra, Sadiqabad, Morgah and Rawat police conducted raids and held Jameel, Wahab, Khurram, Faisal, Shakeel, Irfan and Asim and recovered 20 liters liquor, three 30 bore pistols, ammunition and other items from their possession.
Separate cases have been registered against all accused while further investigations are underway. City Police Officer, Rawalpindi had directed the police officers to accelerate ongoing operations against drug peddlers, bootleggers and other lawbreakers, he added.
