ISLAMABAD, Feb 24 (APP):The District and Sessions Court of Islamabad on Tuesday adjourned the hearing in the murder case of a 22-year-old female student of the Islamic University who was found killed in her hostel.
The case relates to the death of Iman Afrooz, whose murder has drawn attention to student safety in hostels.
The hearing was held at the District and Session Courts Islamabad, where Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Afzal Mujoka presided over the proceedings.
During the hearing, the prosecution was represented by Advocate Naveed Hussain Kiani, who appeared on behalf of the state.
The court was informed that due to official engagements, statements of further witnesses could not be recorded during the session. As a result, the court directed that the witnesses be summoned again for the next hearing to ensure the continuation of evidence.
The accused, identified as Feroz, was produced before the court as part of routine legal procedure. After reviewing the case status, the judge adjourned further proceedings until March 10.
