21 illegally occupied properties restored to real owners in Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI, Nov 28 (APP):The district administration and the police have retrieved 21 illegally occupied properties across Rawalpindi during the past week.
This was stated in a meeting held on Friday to review the implementation of the Punjab Protection of Immovable Properties Ordinance.
City Police Officer (CPO) Syed Khalid Hamdani, Deputy Commissioner Hassan Waqar Cheema, the Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue), and assistant commissioners attended the meeting.
According to a spokesman for the Rawalpindi Police, all 21 cases of unlawful occupation taken up during the week were resolved and possession was handed back to the rightful owners.
He said that, in line with the Punjab chief minister’s instructions, coordinated efforts between the district administration and the police were ensuring swift resolution of disputes relating to encroachment and property rights.
The citizens whose long-standing complaints were addressed expressed gratitude to the Punjab chief minister and the concerned officers for what they termed timely and fair action.
The spokesman added that citizens seeking quick and impartial resolution of their property-related issues could submit applications at the special cell set up in the Deputy Commissioner’s Office.
