FAISALABAD, Jul 15 (APP):The Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) arrested 2 drug barons and recovered 52.9 kilogram narcotics from their possession.
An ANF spokesman said here on Monday that a team, on a tip-off, intercepted a van and recovered 34.8 kg opium, 17.1 kg charas (cannabis) and one kilogram other prohibited material from secret parts of the vehicle.
The ANF team arrested two accused, Ali Shan and Asghar, who were carrying the heavy quantity of narcotics to supply it to various dens. The accused were locked behind bars while an investigation is under progress, the spokesman added.
