KHANPUR, Jul 23 (APP):Two Afghan children on Tuesday drowned while bathing in the Haro canal in jurisdiction of the Khanpur police station.
The victims, 10-year-old Sameer, and 9-year-old Abu Bakar, were residents of Khanpur. Their bodies were recovered and have been handed over to their families.
In recent months, dozens of individuals have lost their lives by drowning in the Haro River, canals, and nearby dams.
The community demanded for more stringent and proactive measures to prevent such incidents in the future
