ISLAMABAD, Feb 12 (APP):Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police conducted a grand search and combing operation in various areas of the federal capital as part of efforts to strengthen security and curb criminal activities.
An official told APP on Thursday that the operation was carried out under the supervision of zonal SPs, with the participation of lady police officials.
He said that during the operation, police teams checked 409 individuals and 309 houses.
Additionally, 126 motorcycles and 56 vehicles were inspected, with officers focusing on documentation and suspicious movement.
The official said that 18 suspicious individuals, including an Afghan national, along with 14 motorcycles, were shifted to relevant police stations for verification.
He said that the primary objective of the operation was to identify suspicious elements, prevent crime, and enhance public safety.
Following the special directives of IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, grand search operations are being conducted across the district to maintain peace and security.
ICT Police urged citizens to cooperate with police during checking.
