PESHAWAR, Jun 18 (APP): The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Department has announced the results of written examinations for contract-based Medical Officer positions.
The tests were conducted on June 14 under the supervision of the Educational Testing and Evaluation Agency (ETEA).
A total of 8,974 candidates appeared for the exams across four districts, with 1,766 qualifying and 5,664 failing. District-wise results show Mardan had the highest participation (3,075 candidates) and produced the top scorer (89 marks).
Other districts’ performance included Batkhela (476 passed), Haripur (342 passed), and Upper Dir (364 passed).
Health Advisor Ehtesham Ali emphasized the government’s commitment to merit-based recruitment, for the first time, we’re conducting all contract recruitments through ETEA to ensure complete transparency.”
The department is currently processing appointments for 115 vacant positions across these districts. Officials confirmed the selection process will strictly follow merit principles to appoint the most qualified candidates.
