17 Public Health School students faint after gas leakage

ABBOTTABAD, Jan 30 (APP):Seventeen students at the Public Health School (LHV) fainted on Friday following a gas leakage incident and were shifted to Ayub Teaching Hospital (ATH), Abbottabad.
According to hospital sources, five students were reported to be in critical condition after losing consciousness and developing severe symptoms, including nausea, vomiting, and breathing difficulties. The affected students were immediately transported to ATH in a college vehicle, where they were provided timely medical treatment.
Hospital officials said that one student has been admitted to the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU), two to the Coronary Care Unit (CCU), and one to Medical Ward C, while the remaining students are being kept under emergency observation under doctors’ supervision.
Under the supervision of Medical Director Prof. Dr. Saqib Malik, along with the hospital administration, doctors, nurses, paramedics, and support staff responded promptly and provided immediate medical care.
A hospital spokesperson confirmed that all possible medical facilities are being provided to the affected students and that their condition is being closely monitored.
