16 stolen motorcycles recovered during crackdown

RAWALPINDI, Dec 21 (APP): Police have intensified their crackdown against gangs involved in robbery, motorcycle theft and other criminal activities following arrest of 10 members of five gangs and recovered stolen goods from their possession.
According to a police spokesperson on Sunday, the operations led to the recovery of 16 stolen and snatched motorcycles, cash amounting to Rs46,000 obtained from the sale of snatched mobile phones, a gas meter, a battery and illegal weapons.
Ratta Amral Police arrested six members of three gangs and recovered seven stolen motorcycles, Rs46,000 cash from the sale of snatched mobile phones, a gas meter and weapons.
Meanwhile, Pirwadhai Police arrested two members of a gang and recovered five stolen motorcycles, while Ganjmandi Police apprehended a two-member gang and recovered four stolen motorcycles along with a battery.
SP Rawal commended police teams swift action and said that the arrested suspects would be presented to court with solid evidence to ensure strict legal action.
He added that criminals who target the lives and property of citizens would not escape the grip of law.
The police spokesperson said that operations against criminal elements would continue to maintain law and order and ensure the safety of citizens.
