LAHORE, Jun 16 (APP):Sixteen people were killed while 1,528 others injured in 1,291 road accidents in Punjab during the last 24 hours.
According to a report issued by Punjab Emergency Service (PES), here on Monday, said that 677 people with serious injuries were shifted to different hospitals, while 851 with minor injuries were treated on the spot by the rescue medical teams.
Analysis showed that 823 drivers, 58 underage drivers, 194 pedestrians and 527 passengers were among the victims of road crashes.
Statistics show that 260 accidents were reported in Lahore, which affecting 318 people, placing the provincial capital at top of the list, followed by Multan with 85 accidents and 95 victims, and at third Gujranwala with 81 accidents and 85 victims.
According to the data, 1,192 motorbikes, 84 auto-rickshaws, 131 motorcars, 24 vans, 15 passenger buses, 36 trucks and 111 other types of vehicles and slow-moving carts were involved in road accidents.
