NOWSHERA VIRKAN, Sep 26 (APP):Following the directives of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the Agriculture Department has distributed 1,400 more cards to farmers in Nowshera Virkan, on Thursday.
According to the official sources, Assistant Director of Agriculture Muhammad Yusuf Chaudhry announced that these cards will allow farmers to purchase seeds, fertilizers and medicines.
Under the Punjab government’s farmer-friendly policy, farmers will receive financial assistance of 30,000 rupees per acre with a maximum of 150,000 rupees for up to five acres and 150,000 rupees for up to 12.5 acres.
The loans provided to farmers will be interest-free with the markup covered by Punjab Bank on behalf of the Punjab Government.
Farmers can use the cards at designated dealers to acquire necessary agricultural supplies.
