DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Jan 17 (APP):As part of ongoing drive against electricity thieves, Pesco Dera Circle’s teams have arrested 14 people in various areas of the district.
The campaign has been intensified following the instructions of the ministry of energy under the supervision of Superintending Engineer PESCO Dera Circle, Engineer Nadir Zaman Kundi, and with the leadership of XEN Rural Division Dera, Engineer Moaz Ahmed, and SDO Cantt Sub-Division PESCO, Engineer Sanaullah Khan.
In this regard, the team conducted operations in Yaseenabad, Mohalla Kumharanwala, and Mohalla Loharanwala and apprehended 14 power thieves red-handed.
The PESCO team has sent letters to the relevant police stations for the registration of cases against the culprits.
SDO Cantt Sub-Division PESCO, Engineer Sanaullah Khan, said operations against the kunda mafia would continue without interruption, and no leniency would be shown towards power thieves.
