SUKKUR, Jun 12 (APP):The Sindh Government’s flagship initiative, the Sindh Solar Energy Project (SSEP), has distributed 137 Solar Home Systems (SHSs) to low-income families in the Jacobabad district. The distribution ceremony was held at the Stadium Ground, Taluka Garhi Khairo on Thursday, attended by prominent guests, including MPA Mir Mumtaz Jakhrani, Mir Muhammad Salah Shahliani, Municipal Chairman Khair Bux Shahliani, and Municipal Vice Chairman Marink Lal.
The Sindh Rural Support Organization (SRSO) implemented the project, which aims to provide sustainable energy solutions to underprivileged communities across the province. During the ceremony, the SRSO District Manager delivered a detailed briefing about the project, highlighting its scope, implementation strategy, and significance for local communities.
MPA Mir Mumtaz Jakhrani, the Chief Guest, congratulated the beneficiaries and emphasized that the initiative aims to help poor families cope with the current heat challenges and improve their quality of life. He reiterated that the project reflects the Sindh Government’s vision to provide relief and sustainable energy solutions to underprivileged communities.
