130 teachers honored with “hero awards” for outstanding services in district

ATTOCK, Oct 06 (APP):World Teachers’ Day has been observed in Attock, in which as many as 130 teachers from across the district were honored with the prestigious “Hero Award” to honor the pivotal role that teachers play in shaping societies and guiding future generations.
The event was hosted at MC High School, Attock, under the chairmanship of Chief Executive Officer (Education) Dr Muhammad Azhar. Additional Deputy Commissioner Attock, Anil Saeed, attended the event as the chief guest.
A large number of Deputy District education officers, assistant education officers, teachers, and citizens from across the district participated.
The event was coordinated by District Education Officer (Elementary-Female) Ms Shahwar Gul, while DEO Secondary Altaf Hussain and DEO Elementary (Male) Syed Taqi Abbas also attended the ceremony.
The speakers at the event noted that the Hero Awards would further boost teachers’ morale and serve as a source of inspiration to raise educational standards in the district.
Speaking at the ceremony, Chief Executive Officer (Education) Dr. Muhammad Azhar has said that the awards had recognized the outstanding contributions of primary, secondary, and subject specialist teachers who had demonstrated excellence in their profession. He added that the initiative aimed to acknowledge the dedication, innovation, and impact of teachers in shaping the future generation.
He emphasized the vital role of teachers in nation-building.
“Teaching is not merely a profession but a sacred responsibility. The development of nations, the shaping of character, and the guidance of future generations rest on the shoulders of teachers. A teacher is a guiding light, illuminating hearts and minds with knowledge, character, and wisdom. We must not only acknowledge their status but also demonstrate it through meaningful recognition,” he said.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Attock, Anil Saeed, speaking on this occasion said: “Teachers’ commitment to fostering curiosity, nurturing values and shaping young minds is central to building stronger communities and a brighter future”.
