LAHORE, Jan 16 (APP):At least 13 people were killed and 1,307 others injured in 1,229 road accidents in Punjab during the last 24 hours. As many as 572 people with serious injuries were shifted to different hospitals, while 735 with minor injuries were treated at the incident site by the rescue medical teams.
The data analysis showed that 708 drivers, 65 underage drivers, 164 pedestrians, and 448 passengers were among the victims of road traffic crashes. The statistics showed that 231 accidents were reported in Lahore, which affected 242 people, placing the provincial capital at top of the list, followed by Faisalabad with 93 accidents and 86 victims, and at third Multan with 69 accidents and 69 victims.
According to the data, 1,124 motorbikes, 81 auto-rickshaws, 131 motorcars, 27 vans, 15 passenger buses, 30 truck and 85 other types of auto vehicles and slow-moving carts were involved in these road traffic accidents.
