LAHORE, Nov 10 (APP):The district administration, Punjab Enforcement and Regulatory Authority (PERA), and the Regulation Wing of Metropolitan Corporation Lahore (MCL) carried out extensive operations against encroachments during the last 24 hours. The drive resulted in the removal of 129 encroachments across multiple locations, with all confiscated material taken into custody. Simultaneously, 435 banners and flexes were removed to ensure a cleaner and more orderly urban environment.
On the instructions of Chief Minister Punjab and under the direct supervision of Deputy Commissioner Lahore Syed Musa Raza, the operations significantly improved traffic flow on major city roads, widened public pathways, and restored access for millions of citizens. The district administration is maintaining daily operations under the Suthra Punjab campaign, with clear instructions from the Deputy Commissioner to accelerate action at identified hotspots and ensure the city remains clean and encroachment-free.
DC Lahore Syed Musa Raza said that restoring public spaces for citizens is a top priority. He added that making Lahore a clean, encroachment-free city is a firm commitment and assured that operations will continue without discrimination. He underlined that the rule of law and public interest would be upheld in all circumstances.
