LAHORE, Jul 12 (APP):At least 11 people were killed and 1,298 others injured in 1,266 road accidents in Punjab during the last 24 hours. As many as 570 people with serious injuries were shifted to different hospitals, while 728 with minor injuries were treated at the incident site by rescue medical teams.
The data analysis showed 720 drivers, 58 underage drivers, 148 pedestrians, and 441 passengers were among the victims of road crashes. The statistics showed that 300 accidents were reported in Lahore, which affected 320 persons, placing the provincial capital at top of the list, followed by Faisalabad with108 accidents and 114 victims, and at third Multan with 75 accidents and 66 victims.
According to the data, 1,069 motorbikes, 98 auto-rickshaws, 106 motorcars, 27 vans, 15 passenger buses, 42 truck and 114 other types of vehicles and slow-moving carts were involved in the road traffic accidents.
