SARGODHGA, Jan 03 (APP):As many as 104,256 wallet accounts under the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) had been opened so far in Sargodha district, covering all its tehsils, including Bhalwal, Bhera, Sillanwali, Sahiwal, Sargodha, Shahpur, and Kot Momin.
Deputy Director BISP Sargodha Malik Safdar Awan stated this while talking to APP
on Saturday.
He said the wallet account opening process for registered beneficiaries was underway
across the district.
He shared that out of the total 104,256 accounts opened as 8,066 belonged to Bhalwal,
4,792 to Bhera, 7,390 to Sillanwali, 6,866 to Sahiwal, 52,171 to Sargodha, 12,409 to Shahpur, and 12,562 belonged to Kot Momin.
The deputy director informed that the total caseload of the BISP beneficiaries in the district stands at 213,727, out of which 104,256 beneficiaries have already been facilitated through wallet accounts. He added that approximately 68 per cent of the account opening process had been completed, while the remaining beneficiaries will be facilitated in the coming days.
