RAWALPINDI, Sep 18 (APP):City Traffic Police (CTP) Rawalpindi conducted a grand operation against encroachment in a bid to maintain traffic flow here on Monday.
In-charge Traffic City Circle supervised operation against encroachment in Raja Bazaar, City Saddar Road, Bara Market, Gunjmandi Road, and its surrounding areas.
During the operation, City Traffic Police (CTP) also issued challan tickets to 103 motorcycles and vehicles while several FIRs were filed against encroachments.
A written warning was issued while taking possession of carriages and other goods, the efforts of the in-charge Traffic City Circle were fully appreciated by the people of the area.
Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Taimoor Khan also appreciated the In-charge Traffic City Circle Raja Bazaar and his team for the prompt action, he said that all the circle in-charges should continue the actions against encroachment mafia and wrong parking in their circle on a daily basis and keep a regular check and balance after the action so that they do not cross their limits again.
The shopkeepers are also appealed to avoid setting up encroachments outside their shops so that they do not face any legal action.
The road users will observe a clear improvement in the flow of traffic with the actions against encroachment mafia and wrong parking, he concluded.
