LAHORE, Jul 11 (APP):The Punjab Police Khidmat Marakiz provided digital policing services to over 1.87 million citizens across the province in 2025.
A spokesperson for the Punjab Police said on Friday that more than 824,000 citizens availed general police verification services, while over 465,000 received police character certificates. Additionally, more than 210,000 people completed tenant registration and 93,229 citizens obtained medico-legal certificates.
As part of initiatives aimed at supporting vulnerable segments of society, 74,250 individuals were provided with legal and social protection. Furthermore, 23,787 citizens conducted vehicle verifications, 47,683 registered lost documents and 2,657 crime reports were processed.
The spokesperson also mentioned that 99,228 copies of FIRs were issued to applicants, and 32 cases of violence against women were officially registered. Meanwhile, 26,810 individuals completed employee registration under the Registration of Private Employees (ROPE) system and 1,785 police verifications were conducted for private sector employment.
Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, described Khidmat Marakiz as a flagship initiative of the department, providing round-the-clock services to the public. “Millions of citizens across Punjab, including Lahore, are benefiting from these facilities every month,” he said, adding, “We continue to enhance and upgrade our services based on citizen feedback.”
