DUBAI, Jul 10 (APP): The Consulate General of Pakistan in Dubai hosted a meeting with officials from the Consulate General of Bangladesh to exchange best practices in legal support and welfare services for their respective diaspora communities in the United Arab Emirates.
The Pakistani side was represented by Head of Chancery Fawad Ali Khan, and Community Welfare Attachés Imran Shahid, and Junaid Murtaza. The Bangladeshi delegation included Counsellor and Head of Chancery Ashfaq Hussain, First Secretary (Labour) Shahanaz Parvin, and First Secretary (Consular) Abdullah Al Mamunur Rashid.
Discussions focused on legal awareness for low-income workers, collaboration with UAE authorities on labor rights, dispute resolution, and capacity building of consular welfare officers. Both sides emphasized the importance of joint outreach strategies to better serve their communities.
It was agreed to establish regular coordination through joint workshops and knowledge-sharing initiatives to enhance support services for expatriates.
