KARACHI, Jul 01 (APP): Dr. Atteqa Ali, a noted curator, organized an exhibition of paintings, digital prints and drawings by noted artists Hasnat Mehmood and Saks Afridi.
The exhibition was opened on Tuesday at Sanat Initiative Art Gallery and would continue till July 10.
The 11 years old Private Gallery promotes innovative and experimental streams of thought in art. Though creating imagery based on Eastern cultures, the two artists—Saks Afridi and Hasnat Mehmood offer a future of possibilities beyond western dominance. A large number of art lovers visited the gallery.
Talking to APP, Hasnat Mehmood said I enjoy challenges. If an artist is not satisfied with his work, he try to improve, and succeed. Only fellow artist can truly understand the value of his work. The public should also be made aware of art so they can form their own opinions, he added.
