Arts council organizes Mehfil-e-Musallama to pay tribute to Karbala martyrs

Punjab Council of the Arts Rawalpindi (PUCAR) on Tuesday organized a Mehfil-e-Musallama in connection with the holy month of Muharram-ul-Haram to pay tribute to the martyrs of Karbala.

RAWALPINDI, Jun 30 (APP): Punjab Council of the Arts Rawalpindi (PUCAR) on Tuesday organized a Mehfil-e-Musallama in connection with the holy month of Muharram-ul-Haram to pay tribute to the martyrs of Karbala.
The literary gathering was presided over by renowned poet and intellectual Professor Jaleel Aali, while prominent scholar Dr. Farhat Abbas attended as the chief guest.
In his address, Professor Jaleel Aali said the tragedy of Karbala was an eternal message for humanity that teaches the timeless values of patience, sacrifice, justice, and moral courage.
Chief Guest Dr. Farhat Abbas, in his address, paid rich tribute to Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions, stating that their unparalleled sacrifice symbolizes an unwavering commitment to truth, freedom, and faith.
During the literary session, prominent poets including Rahat Sarhadi, Manzar Naqvi, Abdul Qadir Tabaan, Farakhanda Shameem, Jahangir Imran, Ahmed Raza Raja, Syed Mazhar Masood, Shamsa Noreen, Syed Mazhar Hamdani, and Sardar Abid Ali Abid presented their poetic tributes highlighting the spiritual and historical significance of Karbala.
Earlier, Director PUCAR Muhammad Shakoor thanked the guests and participants for making the event successful.
