ACP Holds Certificate Distribution Ceremony and Performance Showcase for SOVAPA Students

KARACHI, Sep 13 (APP):The Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi organised a certificate distribution ceremony and performance showcase for students of the School of Visual and Performing Arts (SOVAPA). A total of 92 students received certificates upon successfully completing their three-month short courses, while an exhibition of artworks created by the students and live music performances were also presented on the occasion.

President Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi Muhammad Ahmed Shah distributed certificates to the students. Karachi Press Club President Fazil Jameeli, Theatre Academy head Khalid Ahmed, Music Committee head Ahsan Bari, renowned artist Shahid Rasam, Jahanzeb Shah, Zeeshan Ahmed, Hammad and a large number of students attended the ceremony. The students who completed the short courses included seven in Drawing, 14 in Painting, four in Calligraphy, six in Graphic Design, 17 in Theatre, 19 in Vocal, four in Keyboard, six in Audio Production, 11 in Guitar and four in Drums.

On the occasion, artworks created by students of Drawing, Painting, Calligraphy and Graphic Design were displayed, attracting considerable attention from visitors. Music students also presented special performances, which were warmly appreciated by the audience.
