Ustad Raees Ahmed attains top in instrumental music

ISLAMABAD, Jun 21 (APP):The recipient of President’s Pride of Performance award Ustad Raees Ahmed has attained the top in instrumental music of the country.
Violinist Raees Ahmed, the Urdu melodies on violin were the main attraction of music lovers these days. Due his high caliber professionals skill, he is well appreciated and adored for his masterly played compositions arranged by the old maestros of the music composers in the subcontinent.
Violin has always been the elite music instrument in the music history of the subcontinent for centuries.
The diversity of Pakistani tunes and rhythm assembled the cultural identity of the country. Ustad Raees Ahmed talking to APP said that instrumental music his passion, adding he performed across the world and people still like and listen instrumental music. He said that always playing soul soothing tunes to make the audience sway with their escalating emotions and feelings.
Ustad Raees Ahmed said that the violin, also known informally as a fiddle, is a wooden string instrument in the violin family.
It is the smallest and highest-pitched instrument in the family in regular use.
Smaller violin-type instruments are known, including the violin piccolo and the kit violin, but these are virtually unused. The violin typically has four strings tuned in perfect fifth and is most commonly played by drawing a bow across its strings, though it can also be played by plucking the strings with the fingers (pizzicato).
Violins are important instruments in a wide variety of musical genres. Ustad Raees Ahmed is one of the top Sitar player and famous for melodious live performances, said Head of Sakafat Art Forum Dr. Memoona Khayal.
