PNCA organizes 21 different cultural activities last year

ISLAMABAD, Jan 09 (APP): Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) Visual Art Department (VAD) organized 21 different cultural events including exhibitions and artwork shows during last year.

To achieve its target, the Arts Council focuses on four key strategic areas including nurturing and developing the arts, stimulating broader and sophisticated demand by audience, developing capacity and resources and facilitating and enhancing regional and global connectivity.

According to annual activity report of PNCA VAD, during first three months (from January to March), PNCA carried the verification of Artwork and Maintenance of Galleries during COVID-19 restrictions.

During the year, PNCA had organized various cultural programes including opening of PNCA Permanent Collection “Perpetual Beings” Master Artists of Pakistan Exhibition and “The New Odyssey” BFA Graduates Show by PNCA Exhibition, Asia Pacific Regional Ozone2climate Online Art Contest in collaboration with PNCA Online Art Competition.

Other events included opening of PNCA Permanent Collection “ODE TO THE MODERN MASTERS” Exhibition, Students of Islamabad College for Girls, F-6/2, Islamabad visited to National Art Gallery and later COMSATS students visited National Art Gallery, “Beauty Alt Atrocity” Art Exhibition of Ayisha Arshad Shahnawaz by PNCA inaugurated by Federal Minister Shafqat Mahmood Exhibition, Tribute to Jinnah” Artist Talk, Painting and Photography Exhibition on Quaid, “Lumieres” Exhibition by the Embassy of France in collaboration with PNCA Exhibition, An Exhibition “NOOR” Honoring the Life and Work of Noor Mukadam in collaboration with PNCA Exhibition and School of Art, Design and Architecture, NUST) students visited National Art Gallery Visit to PNCA.
