ISLAMABAD, Nov 2 (APP): Pakistan National Council of the Arts
(PNCA) National Puppet Theatre (NPT) is carrying on its services to
entertain and educate the children through puppetry.
National puppet theatre has numerous puppets, which are hand
made by the apprentices of NPT and this section has trained many
groups to promote the art of puppetry at home and in remote areas of
the country.
According to an official of PNCA, the puppet shows was a
regular feature of the Council. The objective to organize these
shows is to educate children, beside providing entertainment as the
adults gain knowledge and inspiration from the moral and historical
stories acted out by puppets, he added.
Many common social problems are highlighted in the shows in
order to create awareness, better civic sense and patriotism among
the audience.
The team of NPT also holds shows every year to highlight
