RAWALPINDI, Oct 19 (APP):- A stage play “Leerey Chor” (Dress Thief) based on social behavior and human simulation was staged under auspices of Rawalpindi Arts Council (RAC) in connection with National Action Plan.
The play was written and directed by William Pervaiz and acted by Shahzad Mughal, Sajid Saju, Amanat Manto, Saleem Afandi, Lubna Shahzadi, Arif Bhatti, Zabir Sarhadi, Aitzaz, Kashif Akash, Imran Rushdi, Khawaja Zohaib and Naeem Bubba.
Resident Director RAC Waqar Ahmed as special guest was present on the occasion.
The play revolves around a thief who theft clothes of different segments of society including, a minister, police officer and religious leader.
The situation becomes worse as the society was unable to differentiate between suspect and innocent people and it was fear that people will be cheated easily by this act of stealth.
William Pervaiz before this play has also tried to point out social evils by presenting figurative plays.
Waqar Ahmed, speaking on the occasion, said it was obligation of everybody to pin point such kinds of communal tribulations.
He said that play was thought provoking which
delivered a good lesson.
