NBF provides braille books to visually impaired peoples

ISLAMABAD, Oct 18 (APP): Braille Press National Book Foundation (NBF) is supplying braille books to the visually impaired peoples (VIPs) almost free of cost through its outlet at country level.

An official of NBF told APP that these books are provided with support of Pakistan Association of the Blind and various NGO’s.

He said that modernization of Braille Press is part of NBF future plans, adding that more variety of publications both textbooks and general reading interest would be published in future for the visually impaired students.

He said that a separate website would be launched for the braille press.

He said that Braille books for children (Stories, Poems and Milli songs would be published.

He said that Braille Book Library and Talking Books Library would also be established to facilitate visually impaired students across the country.
