NBF ‘Azadi Kitab Mela’ continues in full swing

ISLAMABAD, Aug 12 (APP): The eight-Day ‘Azadi Kitab Mela’ Balochistan has been continued with traditional zeal and zest, started in Quetta on August 8.

The NBF Azadi Kitab Mela has organized by National History a Literary Heritage Division was inaugurated by Commander of Southen Command Quetta Lt. General Amir Riazat University of Balochistan.

In the inauguration ceremony General Amir Riazat said,” Great nations took keen and special interest in the book-reading to increase their literacy rate and Knowledge”.

“Without books and knowledge no nation could achieve the goals of peace, progress and prosperity.Pakistan came into being after a great struggles and sacrifices by our fore-fathers under the dynamic leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and now it was collective responsibility to inform children and youth about the same.” He added.

“This book mela is a major source to educate new generation about the message of our ancestors to build the nation according to rule of law” he said. The Lt. General Amir Riaz asked the youths to come back to their families and serve their home land.”

A large number of people of every walk of life including girls, children, students, families and social media attended the ceremony.

The concluding ceremony of this ‘Azadi Kitab Mela’ would be held on 14th of August 2016 at Quetta.
